Mr. McNeil joined Leisure Hotel Group in September 2006 after 18 years of management experience in Southern California. He spent four years in the audit division at Arthur Andersen & Co. and received his CPA certification. While at Arthur Andersen, Mr. McNeil developed expertise in high-growth fast-paced companies. After leaving Arthur Andersen he continued to excel with in companies that required the finance and operations functions to work closely together.
As controller and chief financial officer for PBS Building Systems, Inc. Mr. McNeil worked closely with the multi-division manufacturing and commercial construction general contractors. He obtained and managed all banking relationships for the company and secured long-term leasing arrangements for their customers.
He also supervised the accounting department that was responsible for issuing the financial results for the leasing, construction and manufacturing divisions of the company.
While chief financial officer for a Toyota sponsored automobile race team Mr. McNeil was responsible for building an accounting staff that supported 300% revenue growth over a two year period. He also led the effort to expand operations into the NASCAR Nextel Cup racing series through starting a new 100 person race team and relocating the entire organization from Southern California to North Carolina.
Since 2000 Mr. McNeil has been in demand as a consultant due to his strong operations and finance background. He consulted for two years with the Irvine Company who is the largest landowner, developer and property management company in Orange County, California. Mr. McNeil worked with operations and accounting personnel to establish processes to identify and track mold remediation projects in the company’s 25,000 apartments. He also initiated, documented and tested accounting internal controls, policies and procedures.
Mr. McNeil received his Bachelors of Science degree with an accounting emphasis from California State University, Fullerton and his MBA from the University of Southern California. |
