Best Resort on the Snake River in Wyoming
Flying Saddle Resort is nestled against the mountainside in Alpine, Wyoming, where three rivers, the Greys, the Salt, and the Snake Rivers, converge and flow into the Palisades Reservoir. Located at the Snake River Canyon entrance on seven landscaped acres, it is the perfect base camp for adventures in Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Grays Lake National Wildlife Refuge, and the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The proximity allows for an abundance of recreation in every season.
Built in 1949 and completely remodeled in 2008, Flying Saddle is a full-service resort featuring a Steakhouse Restaurant, Western Sports Bar, Indoor Heated Pool with a Hot Tub, Tennis Court, Fitness Room, Outdoor Patio, Gift Shop, and even a Drive-Through Liquor Store.
Flying Saddle Resort Steakhouse is a genuine western supper club with historic charm. You will experience the true taste of the west with Chef Ted at the helm, serving seasonal wild game, gorgeous hand-cut steaks, and fresh seafood flown in from the catch, including in-house-cut salmon. Round it out with a properly poured custom cocktail, local beer, or wine pairing.
The casual lounge and Western Sports Bar is a laid-back classic cowboy bar and the perfect place to start, stay, or end the night. Watch your favorite sports team on one of the eight TVs and trade fishing, skiing, and road-tripping stories with other regulars and visitors.
The resort offers a family-friendly, upscale rustic experience, including standard motel rooms, larger rooms with balconies in the new Tower building, and private log cabins. They also welcome motor coaches and are pet-friendly!
